Job Description

Location: Madrid, Spain - Relocation is Mandatory

Set up: Hybrid (1 day/week)

 

Within the framework of a transversal initiative across a global financial group, the objective is to implement a single HR platform designed to empower employees and managers, ensure data reliability, reinforce compliance, and support operational excellence. As part of this transformation, locally hosted HR applications must be replaced by the group-wide Core HR solution built on Oracle HCM.

The project has an overall duration of three years and is divided into three deployment waves. The scope of this RFP covers the year 2026, with the possibility of extension for the following years.

In this context, the Corporate and Investment Banking division is responsible for overseeing the integration of Core HR with its application landscape and has assigned its IT department in Spain to lead the integration effort with local applications across 17 European countries under its remit.

The project includes:

  1. Technical migration – extract, transform and load legacy HR data into Oracle HCM.

  2. System integration – connect Oracle HCM with existing payroll, talent-management and other third-party HR solutions.

  3. Change management & training – prepare users, deliver training material and support the go-live phase.

Expected Derivables for the Project Manager

  • Detailed project plan & schedule
  • Governance model (steering-committee minutes, KPI dashboards, risk & issue logs)
  • Stakeholder-communication plan
  • Change-management & training coordination
  • Demand-management (JIRA) and alignment with the group-wide application-landscape strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Definition and maintenance of the project plan in collaboration with internal teams and external providers.
  • Risk identification and implementation of corrective action plans, ensuring that deliverables defined during the Global Design Phase are delivered on time.
  • Ensuring communication between business lines, IT, and service-provider teams.
  • Support to the Head of Program through preparation and facilitation of information for steering-committee and project meetings, and provision of the required reporting to Group-Program instances.
  • Management of project documentation (plans, reports, minutes, etc.) with version control and central storage.
  • Application of project-management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) appropriate to the scope and complexity of the initiative.
  • Management and follow-up of compliance activities, supporting the central Group team in validating the solution with local regulators before implementation and liaising with local compliance experts to ensure that implementation criteria are well-assessed, documented, and approved.

Qualifications

  • 8 + years of IT project management, client-facing, risk & issue management
  • Governance  (JIRA, demand-management)
  • Agile/Waterfall methodology
  • Strong technical background and experience on technical migration projects and integration among different information systems.

Languages (mandatory)

  • Fluent English
  • Fluent Spanish
